The sad lives of a pigeon

Saturday night, whilst most people sit cosily at home or at the cinema and those with money in these days of recession wine and dine in a fancy restaurant there are actually many people out there whom give up their evenings/weekends time after time to save wildlife.  To be a voice and saviour for creatures without a voice  [applause].

I was invited to go to a “rescue” by someone who is an incredible amazing lady in her own right.  She has gone head on to help animals with little money, no personal transportation, learning on the job,  but a full on “active” passion to make a difference. There were a couple of other remarkably experienced people there too. They rescue pigeons and pigeons nests from pretty much anywhere.  It was a cold night, may 2 to 3 degrees C and raining.  These guys worked in a shift between them to overlook railway workers working on a bridge.  Under this bridge were a few male and female pigeon pairs (like most birds, they mate for life) and some had eggs there were incubating.  Most of us drive daily under bridges at night but would not think twice there is a family of pigeons with their young just above.

As it was night-time, the pigeons were trying to sleep(like most birds, they are active during the day).  They had trains running above their nests and vans/buses/lorries driving below them.  Not pleasant but this is all they have.  One wrong move and their baby would die a painful death.

These pigeons rescuers were making sure that if the workers had to disturb the pigeon nests, they would actually hand the eggs over to them, so they could keep it warm in an incubator and let it hatch when nature calls. If this happened, the parent pigeons would fly off as they would be scared by the workers getting too close. Without these rescue teams looking on and being present for the entire night, the railway workers would simply discard the eggs and/or the flightless babies with no further thought.  But in the pigeon kingdom that would be one life dead, who reports these ?  We hear so many human deaths, related to drug overdose or other self-inflicted ways, why…sometimes who cares!

That evening to see these people was an eye opener.  I learnt so much about pigeons including the number of times they mate(pigeons that is 🙂 ), since their survival rate is extremely low as 10%.

Ken Livingston has destroyed what attracted visitors to Trafalgar square.  What a fool!  This definitely brought in tourism.  This would have employed seeds sellers, this would have employed cleaners, in turn would have given more revenue to seed producers. Humans have WC facilities and sewers underground, wildlife Mr Livingstone and Boris the clown Johnson, do not have a choice, that is nature.

On a recent event dated 7th Jan 2013, people actually saw a hawk killing a pigeon and would not return back to its owner when called.  Is that safe ?

“When the BBC spent tens of thousands of pounds on three Harris Hawks to protect staff from pigeons and gulls at its new £1billion headquarters in London, it promised that no birds would be harmed.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/

“In 2009 a total of £354,829 has been spent on hawks and 130 pigeons have been killed. This equates to £2,729 spent per dead bird”  What is the figure now, since the cost has risen ?  But ofcourse we tax payers foot the bill blindly.  The promise was no pigeons would be killed, yet there have been. Whats action to understand the root cause has taken place ?  Um none, its only a rat in the sky, right ? Wrong!  These pigeons helped during the war, to save lives and this is their pay back,  thanks humans!

We get told of all the diseases pigeons spread, what diseases ?  What have people actually died off die due to pigeons ?  It would be interesting to know rather than badly informed people making poor decisions.

Foxes versus Killers / Rapists / Paedophiles / Physopaths

A poor baby gets a lucky escape with an attack from a fox (?)  Even the Pest Control chap, Richard Mosley and RSPCA agree that fox attacks on humans are rare.  Feel sorry for anything attacking this poor defenseless child as it too has no voice(in terms of speech to be heard).  If this was the case, then the child was unlucky indeed.

How often do we hear of fox attacks ?  Once a year,  every other year ?  Then our last reported attack was when 2010.  This is nothing compared to other non-wildlife attacks that happen to babies, infact inflicted at times by their own parents.  Do we cull then parents ?  Why not ?  We kill dogs when they attack humans!

First of all, foxes don’t have dinner given to them on a plate.  They hunt for food like most wild animals.  We humans decided not to share our “food waste” by having environmentally friendly “plastic bins” to secure our garbage, so now foxes have to try harder to feed its hunger. Who the hell said London is for us humans.

The dumb ass Livingstone has already scared pigeons out of the city of London and now Doris the Boris wants to make a case to do the same for foxes ?  Hell no.  Learn your facts before you speak and stop trying to simply win people votes by making just foolish statements.

Foxes do not attack people, they actually kill rats and keep that population low as well as other wildlife.  Have a pick, would you like rats running around outside (all day all night) or a fox (night, only rare times during the day)

Thing is Boris, in London, there are far more Rapists, Paedophiles and psychopaths running loose which add to the stats towards harm, injury and death to humans everyday.  Too many to report on a daily basis so we only hear the most horrific ones.  So what are you going to do with these filth on the streets ?

Or you want to pick on ones without a voice ?   Listen to those who are well versed with wildlife and not people who simply voice useless opinions about one attack once in a blue moon.

Even Chris Peckham who knows more about Wildlife than you know about a 1% of Politics, agrees it’s rare for a fox to do anything like this and any evidence it was a fox ?

A Further Reduction to the Elephant Population

It’s nice to know when a plan comes together but should this really be happening in the first place.  Singapore customs officials have managed to stop an Ivory consignment from Africa. Apparently it was “passing” thru Singapore but doesn’t say the destination, one can safely assume China.   Where they believe tusks, horns, bear bile etc are cures for all this killer diseases (different types of Cancer).    Personally, your population is kind of high so I’d prefer you to die than kill innocent animals for your useless selfish extra years on this planet. Get the picture!  Get real and except when your time is up!

A total of 1,099 tusks were found in sacks marked as ‘waste paper’.  Can you imagine how many elephants were killed just in this assignment let alone any others that have passed thru customs undetected.  To be honest, if a job was done well,  nothing can be left undetected, surely x-ray equipment would spot hmm this is not paper or whatever its been marked as coverup.

Thing is, customs not only have to deal with the real bastards in crime but they also have colleagues who may be working with bribes.  A tough job, glad this was busted but at a cost of so many lives of innocent creatures is sadly too high.  We need to put a stop at the root, so easy to say but harder to put into action in a world where money buys you friends in high places.

Pygmy Elephants face death all because of a few dolars

We have all seen the pictures in the news re the baby elephant by its dead mother(RIP) in Sabah (Malaysian part of Borneo) The baby is only a few months old and now lost its one and only hope for survival. No amount of milk will nourish this baby likes its mothers milk. Its lost weight and the future is looking bleak.

It appears once again to be the result of palm oil plantations. The workers were told to put out rat poison so the elephants/other innocent animals do not forage for food and eat the palm.  Result: Death.   How disgusting.

Yet will the government hold anyone responsible ?  I guess not, like any nation, its swept under the carpet and so in a few weeks, few months who will remember to care.  WRONG!  Eyes are watching since you are failing in every bit of NO KILL POLICY.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/

Elephants never forget.  One day Palm Oil Cartels, to see revenge will be sweet.  What you have done and no doubt will still continue to do, blood money never goes far.  Its tainted in blood and will rot your mind and if you think you have one,  your brain(I doubt you do).  When you get old, rocking in your arm-chair and you reflect back, you will die mentally, slowly but surely.  But this is not what I wish for, I want you to stop your actions now and look at what you are doing to the natural beauty and the poor innocent animals.  All they want to do is graze, sleep, walk, breathe and live like we do, but the difference is your mind is greedy for money.  Money can buy you anything you want, but a time will come where no matter how much you have, it will not help nor save your mental sanity nor health.

So stop now, you have a chance – Law of Karma

How RSPCA detroys perfectly healthy animals

This is not a witch hunt on the RSPCA, but getting tired of liars and those that wear a caring mask. Stop fooling the public with your begging bowls and tv adds asking for money.

‘The charity insists the vast majority of the animals were put down to end their suffering, but it admits that last year alone 3,400 animals were destroyed for ‘non-medical’ reasons, such as the lack of space in kennels and catteries’

As their critics say, they spend time trying to crack down playing pet detective, but once they have rescued the pets they kill them. So whats the point.  It seems the headlines they like are “RSPCA cracks down on …” so we get told they rescued 1000 sheep or 100 cats or dogs. But we ASSUME (remember the good old ASS out of U and ME) they will take care of those animals by giving them a temp home until new homes are found. Um no.

Whistleblower claims she shot healthy dogs ‘because there was no room’ ”   Well thanks for blowing the whistle now, but how can you, how dare you shoot these animals ? Surely you take an oath to help these animals, yet for a job title and pay you are prepared to go against your ethics or principals (I am ASSUMMING) you had these else why do this kind of job.

n 2009, the RSPCA, which is one of Britain’s biggest charities and receives £120 million a year in donations, stopped accepting stray animals and unwanted pets.”

Unbelievable.  I know of a good friend who had a deer in her back garden.  She was scared on how it will escape or how will it survive if it cannot find a way out.  So I referred her to the RSPCA (this was 8 years ago) and they simply told her to let the deer loose into the streets and if the deer gets injured, they can come out and rescue it. What a pathetic answer.  Isnt the idea to save the animal from injury and simply come and help this poor scared deer back into some parkland.

You have lost the plot.  Eyes are watching you.  There is nothing Royal about your society.

RSPCA – An animals loving charity…. so you would think….

I have recently heard a few stories about the RSPCA which added to the negative publicity I have heard and seen before.   But having met an ex inspector from RSPCA who has written a book on the organised crime in the animal kingdom, I really  thought they were friends to the animal kingdom but…..

The latest article in the telegraph justifies what I heard!

“…It was decided all the lame sheep had to be put down, as they were deemed unfit to travel.”

I know many lame humans who are unfit to travel, can I do the same to them ?

I’m tired of the overall description as RSPCA Inspectors, some names please of these idiots who wear the uniform as if the animals will be safe in their hands.

I am going to liken RSPCA Inspectors to the animal world like Harold Shipman is to humans.

You go to either in faith yet the death sentence is round corner.

So we trust you budding up with Pets At Home is a good thing, nope, have no trust or faith in you.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/

I just got made aware of their (RSPCA) story http://www.rspca.org.uk/media this simply shows, do not believe all that you see or read off these official sites.

More Orangutans die due to human greed.

The news over the last week has been mind numbing.  How can humans be so cold and callous ?  Why don’t the Indonesian government listen to the calls of so many people who are fighting the cause and writing about the horrific plight that the countries most precious animals face.  Not just Orangutans, infact the pygmy elephants, the beautiful slow loris,  the endangered proboscis monkey, the long tailed macaque, the hogs, the pygmy bears… and the precious list goes on…

When humans are dying due to humans with inadequate brains ruling the land, other countries from the west step in and help.  Yet Indonesia is allowed to kill off endangered  animals with the people who care, only allowed to watch from the side lines.  This is truly a testing point.  No Orangutans ? and guess what Indonesia, you will get no tourists.    Wake up and look at our red friends, they are so alike us and do not cause harm, they create no pollution (unlike us humans), they live outside (no concrete jungles like us!), they eat fruits from the trees and drop the peel which gets eaten by animals below or cultivates the forest soil and yet their lives are at stake, cause of human greed.

What happened in the forest fires is truly despicable, words cannot describe the pain people who care and feel for the hundreds of animals that died in the fire, feel. To know that the animals we are trying to save, matter not one bit to the Indonesian Government and Western Investors.  Yet what matters more is the dollar bill.

Law of Karma Mr Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono enjoy the money while it lasts…..and H.E. Zulkifli Hasan, open your eyes before it is too late.
