Whales returned to open seas after 25 die

Well done to the British Divers Marine Life Rescue (BDMLR) medics, the coastguard and the Navy for their efforts in helping the pilot whales back to the seas. A real loss where 25 died being stranded but at least 44 were led to the seas, thanks to these guys. Pilot whales are apparently a tight knit social group so perhaps understandable how such a large number became stranded. Interesting to see what the pathologists find when they carry out the post-mortem.
